 Bought my first Opel 69 in 91 built it up to show in 96. Found a 73 with factory air in Phoenix in 2000. Stripped both cars down to nuts and bolts in 2000. Took best of both cars and made what is described below. The 73 body being stored in Phoenix since it was bought is absolutely rust free. Motor: 1969 hi-performance 1.9 liter with a modified camshaft and 2.0 liter intake valves. Pistons are stock 10.5-1 compression . Cast aluminum pan 1985 Opel manta fuel injection Eighty amp alternator Transistor equipped distributor Transmission Bmw getrag 5 speed Suspension All new neoprene bushings New ball joints and tie rod ends Opel gt source sway bars front and rear New kyb shocks all around New v rated general 50 series 15 inch tires 15 inch alloy rims 8.5 wide Paint Canary yellow ppg two stage paint system. Body taken to bare metal with all windows and chrome etc removed Metal sealed with dp74 catalyzed primer . 2 coats white non sanding primer 3 coats of yellow color 2 coats of polyurethane clear Interior New headliner New carpet Recaro seats Dash mat Metal heater control Working original clock Tach and speedo work All controls turn signals etc. work Dome light works Working windshield washers are like new Alpine stereo with cd changer mounted in rear tool tire compartment Factory air conditioning License plate holder says ITS YELLOW ITS FAST AND ITS MINE
